Body scans help to bring awareness to your body and allows you to relax.
Allow yourself to get in a comfortable position.
Take a deep, slow breath in through your nose. Bring the air all the way down into your abdomen. Feel your belly filling with air.
Slowly breathe out through your mouth.
Concentrate on your breath in and out.
As you slowly breathe in and out, turn your attention to your feet. Feel them become relaxed. They become a little bit heavier as all the tension leaves them.
Feel any tension in your legs melting away. Feel your legs becoming more and more relaxed.
Turn your attention to your abdomen and hips. As you breathe in, feel any tension melting away. You are becoming more relaxed. The tension is melting away.
Turn your attention now your shoulders. Feel your shoulders lowering and any tension melting away.
Now time for your arms. Feel them relaxing. The tension melting away as you breathe in and out
Feel your whole body becoming more relaxed. Any last tension melting away.
Finally, it is time for your face and neck. Feel the tension leaving your neck and face.
Your body is so relaxed.
Now, turn your attention back to your breath. In and out. In and out.
Your body feels peaceful and calm.
Stay in this calm place for a moment.
Count back from 5. When you get to 1, you’ll walk up feeling energized and amazing.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Take a deep breath and open your eyes.
